A report published by the Carbon Trust underlines the key attraction of going down the eco-store route. It claims retailers who invest in renewable energy in their stores could slash their energy bills by more than 20% some incentive when you consider that energy prices are predicted to skyrocket by as much as 37% by 2020.

Peterborough Dobbies to get Solar Powered Car Charging Port
The £8m Dobbies Garden Centre being built in Hampton, Peterborough, creating 120 jobs at the 50,000 sq ft site which is set to open next month has plans for a solar powered car port to charge electric vehicles. The Garden Centre will be one of the first in the country to install solar power technology, offering customers the chance to charge up electric vehicles as they browse the aisles. The move is part of the Edinburgh-based firm’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and hopes to inspire its customers to do the same.
