A group containing some of the UK’s most influential green business leaders and campaigners has written to Bank of England governor Mervyn King, calling on him to address the “systemic” risk to financial systems presented by the potential over-valuation of high carbon companies.
Many businesses may find that moving into an office is more than they can afford, and may not even suit the nature of their company. Furthermore, the nature of modern business means that there are many options besides office-based working.

Alarmingly, within the U.K there seems to be a an apathetic attitude towards the accessing of sensitive data by US authorities, many companies are entrusting their data to free services such as Dropbox despite the risk of prosecution under the Data Protection Act should it be proved that Clients information was accessed without permission – even if the 3rd party was the U.S government (yes UK companies are entrusting YOUR data to FREE U.S services! – perhaps you may want to ask how your data is handled before engaging with new companies! )

Ultra-green and sustainable office design is proving to have more benefits than just the obvious energy and cost savings. Office workers are also loving the effects and companies are reaping the benefits! In a recent report by The Green Building Council of Australia, employees are reported to feeling healthier and happier working in an environment which adopts efficient and “greener” office design approaches.
There is no standard definition for a ‘green’ office so I’ll be putting it in to plain terms and using a lot of common sense. Whilst studying to prepare and publish this post I realised that there is a common fallacy that going ‘green’ automatically means ‘lower quality’
